What This Policy Covers
RAIF Tool (raiftool.org) is a free, open-access AI readiness assessment for K–12 educators. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the tool, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
RAIF Tool is developed and maintained by Michael Eneye Abdullahi, M.Ed., an independent education researcher based in Boston, MA.
Information We Collect
1. Voluntary Registration Information
After completing the 20-question assessment, you are invited (not required) to submit a school profile. If you choose to register, we collect:
- First and last name
- Professional role or title
- School or organization name
- City and state
- Grade levels taught
- Proportion of multilingual learners in your school
- Email address
- How you heard about RAIF Tool
Registration is optional. You may complete the full assessment and download your personalized plan without registering.
2. Assessment Responses
Your 20 assessment answers are used to calculate your readiness scores and generate your personalized 90-day implementation plan. These responses are processed locally in your browser and are only stored if you choose to submit the registration form.
3. Usage Data (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics (G-ZEBNZK96Q8) to understand how educators find and use RAIF Tool. This includes:
- Pages visited and time spent on each
- General geographic region (country and U.S. state)
- Browser type and device category
- Referral source (how you found the site)
Google Analytics does not collect your name, email, or any information you enter into the assessment form. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.
4. Form Submissions (Formspree)
Registration form submissions are processed through Formspree (formspree.io), a third-party form service. Formspree receives your submitted registration data and forwards it to the tool developer. Formspree's privacy policy is available at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
How We Use Your Information
Information collected through RAIF Tool is used solely for the following purposes:
- To generate your personalized plan — your assessment responses determine your readiness scores and 90-day implementation plan
- To understand adoption patterns — aggregate, non-identifiable usage data helps us improve the tool and document its reach for research purposes
- To communicate with you — if you register, we may contact you with tool updates, research findings, or opportunities relevant to AI literacy in education. You may opt out at any time
- For academic research — anonymized, aggregate data may be used in peer-reviewed research on AI readiness in K–12 education. No individually identifiable information is published in any research output
FERPA and COPPA Compliance
